GAME offers customers protection for their Playstation 3

14th March 2007 Print
Allianz Cornhill Schemes has created a winning team with GAME to sell insurance on the new PlayStation 3 and other games consoles.

From Monday 12th March 2007, GAME customers will be able to extend the standard manufacturer’s guarantee on their consoles by either one or two years for protection against accidental damage and break down.

As a special introductory offer customers can extend the protection on their PS3 for two years for only £34.99 (normal price £39.99) – a small price to pay to protect the £425 console. Customers can purchase an extended warranty on any console available within 30 days of their purchase, provided it has not been damaged, offering peace of mind when purchasing expensive games hardware.

Steven Burrell, new business manager for Allianz Cornhill Schemes said: “Today’s consoles not only allow the user to play games, they can be used as a complete entertainment centre, and the soon to be launched PS3 is a good example of this. If there is a problem with the console it affects each different function, so it has become increasingly important to have some form of insurance cover.”

Anna Macario, marketing director for GAME added: “Consoles are a considerable investment for our customers. By introducing insurance products we are helping our customers protect that investment and offering them a safety net in case any problems arise in the future.”
