Legal & General want your views on home security and safety
Legal & General's general insurance business is running an online survey, ‘Safe as Houses' asking people for their views on their home security and safety, legalandgeneral.com.The survey aims to get a better understanding of today’s home owners security and safety concerns and what, if any precautions, they are taking.
As part of Legal & General’s Safety Uncovered Index we have been able to build some understanding of the UK’s safety concerns. This has highlighted that Brits are taking steps to protect themselves with 34% stating that they won’t open their door to strangers and 25% having a burglar alarm in place.
Ruth Wilkins, Head of Communications for Legal & General’s general insurance business said: "As a leading household insurer knowing our customers concerns will help us to meet the changing needs of today’s modern home, by developing products and services that let busy Brits get on with their lives, knowing their home is safe.
“Installing a burglar alarm, good quality locks and security lighting or living in a Neighbourhood Watch area can all help to deter a burglar entering a person’s home. And as well as providing customers with quality insurance cover we also offer customers a possible discount on the costs of their cover, if they take some safety precautions.”
The Legal & General ‘Safe as Houses’ survey is running for a month until Monday 9 July 2007. Those people who complete the survey will be entered into a free prize draw to win a DVD recorder and surround sound system of their choice, up to the value of £500.
