LV= increases contents cover by 10% over Christmas period

With Christmas just around the corner, many people will be stocking up on gifts for friends and family.

To ensure they are not left out of pocket should the worst happen, LV= automatically gives a 10% uplift in the contents sum insured to all its home insurance customers from 15th December to 15th January.

Emma Holyer of LV= Home Insurance commented: "With Christmas presents hidden around the house or on display under the tree, it's important to ensure you have insurance cover for these additional contents. There are rich pickings for burglars around the festive season, with easy to steal gifts plus dark nights, so homeowners should check their insurer will cover them in the event of a break in, flood or fire."
