RIAS has the KEY to customers' peace of mind

29th January 2009 Print
It can happen to anyone, but losing a set of house keys is always irritating and inconvenient - and if a locksmith has to be called out in an emergency, it can be very expensive too.

But RIAS has come up with a solution that will provide homeowners with real peace of mind where their keys are concerned.

RIAS, specialist insurer for the over 50s, has launched an exciting new product called Key Protection, which new and existing customers will have the option to add to their home insurance policy.

For just £1.25 per month, customers will enjoy the security of knowing that all of their keys are covered in the event of loss or theft.

RIAS Managing Director Janet Connor says: "Most people will know all too well how costly it can be to gain access to their homes when they have lost their keys, or had them stolen, so we are delighted to be able to offer this brand new product to anyone who wants to protect themselves from this type of headache. Key Protection not only gives great peace of mind, but also represents fantastic value for money at just £15.00 for a whole year's cover. And there's no sting in the tail when it comes to making a claim either, as policyholders will not have to pay an excess. It's great to be able to bring such a useful product to market for the real benefit of our customers."

The Key Protection policy will provide the following:

Up to £1,500 (including VAT) towards gaining access in the event that your keys are locked in or broken in the lock of your vehicle, home or office and, if necessary, provide reimbursement for a replacement lock or key.

Up to £75 (including VAT) per day for up to 3 days for car hire if you are stranded from home due to theft or loss of your car keys or, alternatively, reasonable public transport or taxi fees.
24 hour, 365 days a year assistance.
