Fidelity Asian Special Situations, Emerging Markets and Latin America Fund now available to ISA investors

30th January 2007 Print
Fidelity International has announced that six more of its Luxembourg registered funds are now available inside the ISA tax wrapper. Investors and advisers can get access via a Fidelity or a FundsNetwork ISA.

The funds newly available through an ISA include three new asset classes from Fidelity: Fidelity Funds Asian Special Situations, Emerging Markets and Latin America equity funds. Fidelity Funds America, Euro Blue Chip and International Bond Funds have also been added to the range.

Having launched sterling share classes for the funds in June last year, Fidelity has now extended the offering to give UK investors even more options this ISA season. Eleven of Fidelity’s most popular Luxembourg registered funds are already available through ISAs. These include the India Focus and China Focus funds.

Peter Hicks, Head of IFA Channel at Fidelity International, commented: “By making these six funds available inside the ISA wrapper we are fulfilling the demand to make a greater number of our popular offshore funds available to ISA investors.

“Asia Special Situations fund – one of five funds in our Special Situations range – in particular, has rewarded investors with consistently high returns since its launch in 1994. A first quartile performer over 1, 3, 5, 10 years and since launch and popular with investors outside the UK for a number of years, it has significantly outperformed over all periods returning 133.56% since launch compared to a meagre 41.81% from the benchmark (MSCI Asia ex Japan).

“With ISAs now a permanent part of the UK savings landscape we believe choice is more important than ever as investors expand and diversify their portfolios and by adding these new asset classes and funds to our ISA range, it gives advisers greater choice for their clients.”
