F&C UK Growth & Income Fund reaches key milestone

9th May 2007 Print
The F&C UK Growth & Income Fund has reached a key milestone with its assets reaching £100 million.

F&C UK Growth & Income has been a true turnaround story since Ted Scott and Hilary Aldridge were appointed as managers of the fund in July 2005. Prior to this the fund was less than £15 million in size and the performance record was frankly not good.

Since taking over the fund and restructuring it to utilise a similar "bar bell" strategy (including both lower yield growth stocks and higher yielding companies) to that of the highly successful and award-winning Stewardship Income Fund, albeit without that fund's strict ethical restrictions, the performance has been stellar.

The F&C UK Growth & Income Fund currently sits in first place the top of the IMA Equity Income sector year-to-date, is in the top 4th percentile over one year, top 3rd percentile over two years and top decile over three years.

The equity income sector is of course an incredibly competitive sector with some of the best names in the industry running funds in it. This Fund however, which is fast-establishing itself as a flagship product at F&C, has proven that it deserves to be considered alongside some of those best-sellers.
