Schroder Global Equity Income off to a flying start

24th May 2007 Print
The new Schroder Global Equity Income Fund, managed by Sonja Schemmann, is off to a flying start with an A rating from Standard & Poor's.

Launched on 18th May 2007, the fund consists of a concentrated portfolio of high-yielding global equities with the aim of achieving longer term returns at lower volatility compared to the broader market. The ‘go-anywhere’ fund targets a yield 2% above the MSCI All Countries World index.

In 2006, Schemmann delivered a return of over 10% above the MSCI World Index on the mirror Schroder ISF Global Equity Yield Fund.

Robin Stoakley, Managing Director, Schroders' UK Retail Business, said: " Standard and Poor's has been quick to recognise Sonja's excellent track record in managing global equity income portfolios. The response from intermediaries to the new Schroder Global Equity Income Fund during the offer period has been very positive."
