Santander Asset Management UK appoints new equity dealer

As it prepares to bring the management of the Abbey National UK Growth Fund and Abbey National UK Equity Fund back in house, Santander Asset Management continues to strengthen its investment team with the appointment of Melanie Newton as an Equity Dealer in its UK Equities team.

Melanie has wide experience as an Equity Dealer in both the UK and European equity markets. She joins from Hermes, where she was a Pan-European Equity Dealer. Prior to that she was with Capital International. She has strong experience of recent developments in the UK equity market such as the use of crossing networks, direct market access and algorithmic trading.
