James Hay adds UBS Corporate Bond UK plus fund to wrap platform

James Hay has added the UBS Corporate Bond UK Plus fund to its Wrap platform. The total number of funds now available on James Hay Wrap totals 1,164 from 50 different providers.

UBS Corporate Bond Fund UK Plus fund is one of a new generation of fixed income funds that use derivative based strategies to deliver enhanced returns for the fund. By using short and long strategic positions, the fund can generate positive performance even in weak fixed income markets.

Shaun Sandiford, Regional Sales Director, James Hay, said: “We are delighted to offer this innovative fund from one of the global leaders in asset management.

“In difficult bond markets, fixed income fund managers are increasingly using UCITS 3 flexibility to enhance returns using derivative such as swaps and futures. Many of these strategies, pioneered in liability driven investing, have only been available in the institutional market.

“The advent of such funds into the retail market allows advisers to increase the diversification of fixed income portfolios and deliver superior returns to their clients.”

Investors using James Hay Wrap can now choose retail and institutional funds, OEICS (Open Ended Investment Companies) and Unit Trusts at competitive and preferential terms. Together, the James Hay SIPP and Wrap businesses have over £12 billion under administration.

James Hay Wrap offers free fund switches and automatically returns rebates to client accounts. Unlike many competitors, James Hay has a philosophy that supports any fund, in any tax wrappers at any time. We have no preferred fund houses or Investment styles. Advisers can buy any fund they and their clients choose.
