OBSR upgrades F&C Multi-Manager funds

F&C's market leading multi-manager funds continue to gain momentum with the news this week that leading fund research firm Old Broad Street Research have upgraded four of our unfettered funds of funds to AA status.

OBSR has also upgraded the Friends Provident life and pension versions of the same funds.

F&C / Friends Provident Multi Manager Funds

At its June 2007 Multi-Manager Ratings Meeting, OBSR decided to upgrade the following funds to AA: F&C Multi-Manager Balanced, F&C Multi-Manager Cautious, F&C Multi-Manager Distribution, F&C Multi-Manager Growth. In addition, the life and pension funds offered by Friends Provident have also been upgraded to AA: Friends Provident Multi-Manager Balanced, Friends Provident Multi-Manager Cautious, Friends Provident Multi-Manager Distribution, Friends Provident Managed Portfolio and Friends Provident Multi-Manager Growth. All funds were previously rated A. The multi manager team at F&C is very settled and the lead manager, Richard Philbin, has been managing these funds according to a clearly articulated process since 2001. Over that time, the funds have delivered competitive and consistent returns compared to other funds of a similar type. In recognition of this, we have decided to upgrade the ratings for the funds in this multi-manager range.
