Merchant Investors’ fund range keeps on growing
Over the course of 2007 Merchant Investors, the specialist pensions and investments provider, added 9 new funds links to its Pinnacle Range following its review of the entire range at the beginning of the year. The new fund links range from some of the best performing flagship funds in the industry spanning the major IMA regions and sectors to more esoteric offerings from specialist providers. The range includes top performers, multi-managed funds, focused emerging market funds (Eastern Europe, BRIC & China), and global high yield funds.
Pinnacle Range funds added in 2007 include Martin Currie Asia Pacific, funds from T-Bailey such as the Growth, Cautious Managed and Equity Income and Bill Mott’s PSigma Income Fund. Merchant Investors has also added a selection of niche funds which are available to investors which fall outside of the Pinnacle Range. These include funds from Hasley, Cru, Castleton, Hurlingham and Margetts.
Richard Ellis, head of sales and marketing at Merchant Investors, said: "We have offered investors fund links via our investment propositions since 1986, so are seen as a pioneer in this field. We feel it is important to refresh our fund range on a regular basis to offer new and alternative investment routes for investors.”
“Some of the smaller, more niche funds are increasingly in demand by savvy investors. So as a company who continuously strives to meet our clients’ needs, growing our specialist fund range has been imperative. We are proud to offer our clients over 100 funds in which to invest and are looking to continue this growth through 2008.”
In addition, Sanlam Asset Management (Ireland) Limited, an associate company of Merchant Investors, has also now made some of its best performing funds, including its flagship Global Financial Fund, managed by Kokkie Kooyman, available to Merchant Investors’ clients.
