iShares S&P 500 fund surpasses $5 billion AUM
iShares, the world's number one provider of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), is delighted to announce it's iShares S&P 500 fund - one of the largest ETFs in Europe - has gone through $5 billion in assets under management.The fund which is listed on seven local exchanges throughout Europe provides a quick efficient and liquid means for gaining exposure to a diversified basket of US equity securities.
Commenting on this milestone, Andrea Morresi, head of sales for iShares, Europe, said:
"We are delighted by the news that the iShares S&P 500 fund has joined two of our other European listed funds with over $5 billion in assets under management - the iShares DJ Euro Stoxx 50 ($7.6 billion) and the iShares DJ Euro Stoxx 50 DE ($5.5 billion). The S&P 500 is the leading institutional benchmark for gaining exposure to US equities and continues to make up a significant proportion of the average European investor's equity asset allocation. In total we now have over $ 63.4 Billion in assets under management in Europe."
