Architas announces exclusive deal with INSYNERGY

29th October 2008 Print
Architas Multi-Manager, the new investment company backed by AXA UK, announces details of an exclusive distribution partnership with INSYNERGY Investment Management ("INSYNERGY"), a new boutique fund management business launched by Spike Hughes, one of the leading figures in the investment industry.

INSYNERGY is backed by BBC's Dragons' Den star and serial entrepreneur James Caan - who is set to be chairman of the new business.

Through an exclusive agreement with AXA, INSYNERGY will offer retail investors access to carefully selected world-class investment managers, hitherto the preserve of institutions and very wealthy individuals.

Under the agreement, AXA UK is assisting financially with the launch of INSYNERGY's first two funds and is opening its massive distribution platform to INSYNERGY. In return, INSYNERGY has granted AXA exclusive access to its fund range.

INSYNERGY has signed exclusive contracts with two of the industry's most successful investment managers and expects to announce details of its first two funds in a matter of weeks - a contrarian, high conviction global equity fund, and tapping into the huge market opportunity amongst Muslim investors across Europe, a Shariah compliant fund investing in UK equities. In delivering these funds, INSYNERGY will be working with one of the most successful UK and European equity specialists of his generation and one of the world's leading Islamic investment banks.

Commenting on the partnership, Mike Kellard, CEO, Architas Multi-Manager, and AXA Winterthur Wealth Management, said: "I am excited by the prospect of Architas being able to offer exclusive links through the INSYNERGY funds to high quality world class fund managers who have unrivalled track records in adding value to their clients, not normally available through IFAs.

"The catalyst for this partnership has been a shared belief that recent market turmoil will lead brokers and clients to demand more innovative funds that go beyond conventional choice. It is for this reason that I believe in what INSYNERGY has to offer."
Spike Hughes, Founder and CEO, INSYNERGY, said: "This partnership is the result of many months of work. AXA will bring massive distribution power to INSYNERGY and will allow us to confidently approach world-class managers in the knowledge that we have an unbeatable route to market. In return we can offer Architas an important differentiator, which I am confident, will give it a winning edge in its marketplace."

The two INSYNERGY funds will be available via both the AXA Winterthur Wealth Management and Corporate Benefits propositions.
