JPMAM teams up with Cofunds to offer offshore funds

From Monday 16th February 2009, ten J.P. Morgan Asset Management Luxemburg domiciled funds will be available to advisers via Cofunds, the UK's largest independent investment platform.The top performing JPM Highbridge Statistical Market Neutral Fund and AAA rated JPM Sterling Liquidity Fund are amongst those available.

Mike Parsons, J.P.Morgan Asset Management's head of UK distributor sales comments: "For the first time, advisers now have easy access to our offshore SICAVs and can more readily include them when building portfolios designed to withstand today's difficult markets. By offering a good choice of offshore funds through Cofunds, advisers will be better equipped to build even more robust and diverse portfolios for their clients."

Parsons added: "Traditionally offshore funds have never really been a mainstream investment tool for UK retail investors despite offering genuinely diverse and practical benefits whatever the individuals attitude to risk. We are sure that through initiatives such as this, offshore funds will become a very prominent and perfectly natural part of any UK retail investor's portfolio."

The ten funds available via Cofunds from Monday 16th February 2009 are:

J.P. Morgan Asset Management is offering standard terms of 3% commission on SICAVs for any IFAs purchasing the funds via Cofunds. Any existing terms for clients dealing via Cofunds will also apply to the SICAV range. For the Sterling Liquidity fund JPMAM is offering a renewal commission of 10bps. As with all cash funds no initial commission or discount is available.
