There has been no shortage of this during 2009, as Harry and his team have now received accolades at the PLC Awards, MoneyWise Investment Trust Awards and the number one spot in Citywire's Top One Hundred Fund Manager of the Year Awards and we are delighted to receive this latest award.
"2009 has also been a busy year for the team following the merger of Standard Life UK Smaller Companies Trust plc and Gartmore Smaller Companies Trust in February - a move that almost doubled the gross assets of the trust to approximately £63m. The Trust is now almost fully invested and shareholders can look forward to reaping the benefits of an enlarged trust with a greater asset base and reduced basic management fee over the long term."
