Architas Dynamic Fund celebrates 5th anniversary

29th May 2009 Print
An asset allocation overhaul has seen the Dynamic Fund enjoy first quartile performance since Caspar Rock took over its management in July 2006. Overall portfolio risk has also benefited from Caspar's strategies - the fund now ranks in the second quartile within the Active Managed sector in terms of volatility over one year.

Available through Architas since July 2008, the Dynamic Fund is one of six multi-manager portfolios Caspar brought with him from AXA Framlington on joining Architas as deputy chief investment officer. Architas' multi-manager range caters for the most conservative investor through to a more aggressive risk appetite. The Dynamic Fund may be appropriate for individuals with an above-average attitude to risk, looking to invest over the medium to long term.

In addition to underlying fund selection, the Architas Multi-Manager Dynamic Fund looks to maximise capital and income returns through investment in a diversified range of equity investments, although up to 100% may be invested in equity collective investment schemes when appropriate. Equally, as Architas' most flexible fund, it has the scope to hold larger-than-average exposures to non-equity assets, such as bonds and funds in the alternatives sector.

Advisers benefit from Architas' expert fund management team who will actively manage portfolio construction and provide detailed performance and background information, giving advisers more time to concentrate on their clients.

Richard Philbin, chief investment officer, Architas Multi-Manager Limited, says: "For the more ambitious investor, the Dynamic Fund offers flexibility and the potential for high rewards through exposure to more risky assets.

"The management team has wide investment experience and robust asset allocation skills and is committed to providing a high-quality service which consistently meets clients' needs. The combination of strong investment expertise and in-depth research enables us to deliver the target outcomes that clients expect, whilst managing risk effectively along the way."
