Coventry BS closes the Poppy Bond

Coventry Building Society announces the closure of its highly successful Poppy Bond. Rachel Haworth, Head of Marketing at the Coventry said: "We felt that the end of Remembrance Day would be the most appropriate and poignant moment to close the Poppy Bond.

"We've had a tremendous response - it is clear that the combination of a highly competitive rate and the donation by the Society to The Royal British Legion has been extremely well received by many savers. Their comments show warmth and appreciation for the work of The Royal British Legion and we look forward to supporting this work with a significant donation."

The Poppy Bond will be withdrawn at close of business today.
