The Halifax One Card was first launched in February 2004. The card featured the same great go-to rate of just 9.9% as well as the same length 0% deal (0% for 9 months on both balance transfers and purchases).

Since the launch of the One Card, HBOS (via the Halifax and Bank of Scotland brands) has been the largest issuer of new credit cards in the UK. The success of the One Card is as a result of its appeal to both spenders and borrowers alike. The 0% deal coupled with a low typical APR means it has offered consistently good value.

Commenting on the One Card, Ken Stannard, head of Halifax Credit Cards, said: "The Halifax One card has been in the best buy tables for over three years. Customers continue to benefit from both a great introductory offer and a market beating typical APR. Anyone wishing to make the most of this deal should act now."
