Capital One's response to the current floods

1st August 2007 Print
Capital One recognises that many of its customers will have been affected by the recent flooding across the UK.

Capital One has put in place a number of measures to assist customers who are concerned about managing their finances during this time.

The company is encouraging customers who have been affected by the recent flooding and are worried about managing their account or missing a payment to call 0800 952 1060 to discuss how Capital One can help. Alternatively affected customers can write to Capital One Bank Europe Plc, PO Box 5283, NG2 3YJ.

To assist with the relief efforts, Capital One has made a £35,000 donation to the British Red Cross National Floods Appeal, plus a donation of £5,000 to support those who have been affected in the communities in which it operates.

Mark Astarita, director of fundraising at the British Red Cross, said: “We welcome Capital One’s generous support to this unprecedented disaster. As the floodwaters continue to recede, it is clear that thousands of lives have been shattered. Our Floods Appeal will help people in need, such as the elderly and those with disabilities, rebuild their shattered lives.”
