Nationwide provides extra peace of mind on Father's Day

6th June 2008 Print
Buying a gift for Father's Day on 15 June? Nationwide Building Society is reminding consumers that many electrical goods, including ideal gifts for Dads, are now covered free of charge under extended warranty insurance when purchased on Nationwide credit cards.

The Society recently improved the extended warranty cover to include electrical items such as Ipod/MP3/MP4 players, DAB radios, camcorders and DVD players with hard drive, Ipod docking stations, portable DVD players, home cinema systems and Freeview boxes.

Once the new purchase is registered (within 60 days), consumers will get one year's free warranty on top of the existing manufacturer's warranty of up to two years - giving up to three years free warranty in total on a broad range of products.

Jeremy Wood, Nationwide's divisional director, said: "Nationwide credit card holders who purchase an electrical item as a gift for Father's Day can take advantage of our extended warranty insurance free of charge. The policy now includes cover on a range of new technologies - perfect for gadget-obsessed Dads everywhere."
