Newcastle awarded for innovation in prepaid cards
Newcastle Building Society is celebrating following two wins at The Card Awards 2009 in London last week.The prize for Best Prepaid Card Marketing Campaign of the Year was awarded to the Society and Tuxedo Money Solutions from a shortlist of five for its work promoting the MasterCard Tuxedo card and eccount.
Newcastle Card Solutions also won Best Cross-Selling Programme of the Year with White Eagle for its Prepaid Card Migrant Program targeting migrant workers with a card and telephone offering. The Society was also Highly Commended in the category for Best New Prepaid Card Product of the Year, also for White Eagle, and nominated a further three times.
The awards, hosted this year by John Humphrys, recognised excellence and best practice in the cards payment industry.
