Tesco Clubcard Credit Card offers 0% on purchases for 12 months and 0% for 6 months on balance transfers. The number of credit cards offering competitive introductory offers has gradually contracted, especially over the last year. For some time the best a consumer could expect in terms of the 0% period for purchases was 10 months, so it's very welcome to see Tesco offering 0% on purchases for 12 months.

"As well as the 0% introductory offer, the APR at 16.9% is also competitive and the balance transfer fee is one of the lowest in the market. Customers also stand to earn 5 clubcard points for every £4 spent in store at Tesco. However, consumers should still note that balance transfer (BT) cards with longer 0% periods of up to 16 months are also available, such as the Virgin Money Credit Card MasterCard. As always, they should weigh up what is on offer to ensure they take out the card that best suits their needs.
