N&P launches new credit card

Norwich and Peterborough Building Society (N&P) has teamed up with MBNA to launch a new credit card which offers 0% interest for one year on all balance transfers.

And, as a special introductory offer, the card also carries 0% interest on card purchases for the first three months, before reverting to a typical rate of 15.9% APR (variable).

Smart shoppers who like the security of paying for items by credit card will be able to capitalise on the year-long interest-free option, when they transfer the balance from another credit card. A 3% balance transfer fee will apply.

Customers who pay their balance in full and on time every month can enjoy up to 50 days' interest-free on their credit card purchases.

Customers can apply for a new N&P credit card online, via the N&P website, in any one of the Society's branches or by calling the N&P Contact Centre on 0845 300 2511. Whichever method they choose, customers can have an instant decision on their application.

N&P CREDIT CARD FEATURES:

0% for 12 months on balance transfers made in the first 90 days of account opening (3% handling fee)

0% for 12 months on money transferred into a current account in the first 90 days of account opening (4% handling fee)

0% on card purchases for three months from the date the account is opened.

Typical rate 15.9% APR (variable)

Up to 50 days' interest-free on card purchases if balance is paid in full and on time every month.

100 day purchase protection - most items bought with the N&P credit card that become lost or stolen within 100 days of purchase will be repaired or replaced. Covers most goods costing £50 or more, and provides up to £15,000 of claims in a year (max single item £5,000). Exclusions apply.
