Abbey new savings rates come in on 1 December

On 16 November, Abbey announced that all its savings rates would increase following the Bank of England's base rate rise from 4.75% to 5.00%.

The changes to Abbey savings rates come into force on 1 December.

Rates on Abbey's eSaver, Postal Account and Flexible Saver for Kids will increase by 0.25% across all tiers. eSaver customers will enjoy rates up to 5.55% AER, and Postal Account rates will range from 3.25% AER up to 4.75% AER.

Interest rates on First Home Saver will increase by 0.25% to 4.75%, when a customer deposits every month and does not make a withdrawal.

Our popular Child Trust Fund account will move 0.25% to a competitive 5.00% for balances from £750 and 4.50% AER for balances from £1.

The majority of savers with tiered accounts, such as Abbey's Branch Saver, Postal ISA and Easy ISA, will benefit from a 0.25% increase. Branch Saver will offer up to 4.00% AER. Postal ISA and Easy ISA will both offer up to 5.15% AER.
