UK's web users invest time online
The UK's web users are utilising the internet to make their lives easier, according to results from a recent HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) survey.A total of 86 per cent of internet users find online banking more simple than going into their branch or using other services.
The survey also showed that 77 per cent of internet users find filling in tax returns easier on the web. Other tasks that web users also find easier include Christmas shopping and food shopping.
More than 9 million people need to fill in a tax return each year, and over 2 million do it online. With instant tax calculations, state of the art security and a stop and start function, it's an appealing alternative for anyone.
HMRC's survey also highlighted a number of other quirks across the UK. The top shopping dislike is queuing, while the most disliked chore is ironing.
