Barclays Stockbrokers enters partnership with the National Trust
Barclays Stockbrokers has announced that it has entered into a three year partnership deal with the National Trust.The initiative will see Barclays Stockbrokers offering its award-winning brokerage services to the National Trust’s members, donors, volunteers and employees. The National Trust’s supporters will in return see ten per cent of revenue generated through the partnership being donated to the National Trust.
The initiative has been set up so that Barclays Stockbrokers can offer the 1.5 million people associated with the National Trust across the UK the opportunity to support the National Trust further with inline with their investment activity – at no additional cost. Supporters of the National Trust will be able to trade in the following products while providing the National Trust with valuable income:
UK and international equities
Gilts
Bonds
Fixed interest securities
ETFs and ETCs
Investment trusts
Investment Notes
Investors wishing to use the service will pay the standard online dealing rate of £7.50 per trade but will also be able to save £5 in commission for each certificated share deal they make, paying just £20 per trade. Investors can open a National Trust dealing account by visiting stockbrokers.barclays.co.uk/NationalTrust or by calling 0845 609 5555. Accounts can also be opened by post. Existing customers can also support the National Trust by transferring their ISA and PEP accounts to the new service.
