Barclays stockbrokers reveals shareholder benefits with online guide
Over £500 off a new home, 20 per cent off Mulberry, 30 per cent off Eurotunnel routes are just some of the additional benefits available to the shareholders in a variety of UK listed companies.A popular free guide to these ‘perks’ compiled by Barclays Stockbrokers is now available online at stockbrokers.barclays.co.uk/certificates.
The guide lists both the companies that provide benefits to all shareholders, including those that hold their shares through a nominee account (over 75 per cent of those featured in the guide), and those that restrict their perks to shareholders with share certificates. Details are also provided about the minimum shareholdings required to qualify for the various benefits – 40 per cent of the companies listed stipulate no minimum shareholding.

Amy Nauiokas, MD and Head of Barclays Stockbrokers comments: “Shareholder benefits alone are not a reason to buy shares but they are certainly an added bonus for those investors keen to own a slice of a company. This guide offers investors a quick and easy point of reference to the best offers out there – and as the guide show, there are some interesting and attractive benefits linked to many of the shares listed.”
