The Share Centre wins Best Execution-only Broker Award

Retail stockbroker, The Share Centre, scooped the award for Best Execution-only Broker Tuesday night at Shares Magazine's 2008 Awards ceremony, held at Grosvenor House Hotel.

The Award, which was voted for by Shares magazine readers, aims to identify the broker who offers the best all-round execution-only sharedealing service. Readers were asked to consider four aspects of the service, including: website functionality, customer service, useful extras (research, tools and advice) as well as price.

Commenting on The Share Centre's success and the voting process, Richard Collins, Sales Director at MSM Media, said: "Shares Magazine would like to congratulate The Share Centre on their fantastic achievement. What makes our Awards different, and more deserving, is that they are determined by readers' votes. We ask readers to tell us the extent to which they are satisfied with the service provided by brokers - for this Award we asked them to grade the level of service and satisfaction they received from stockbrokers when they had placed direct dealing orders. The Share Centre was the clear winner."

The Share Centre beat the likes of Barclays Stockbrokers, Halifax Share Dealing and HSBC Stockbrokers to claim the prize. On accepting the Award, Guy Knight, Director at The Share Centre, said: "We are delighted to have won the Award for Best Execution-only Broker as it recognises the totality of our offering and its relevance to today's private investor. We believe in more people enjoying straightforward investing, and work hard to simplify the investing process, whether it is over the phone or online."
