Smallprint Jewellery Launches ‘Harrods Range’

Inspired by, and designed to complement Smallprint’s existing range of one-off pieces, Jane Davis has created a collection using semi-precious stones and Swarovski Crystals. Each piece is individually handcrafted and engraved, and captures a child’s fingerprint forever in pure polished silver. The natural stones used by Jane give a further individual edge to an already unique piece – just like the fingerprints, no two stones will be alike.
Aimed at proud parents looking for a truly original keepsake or unusual gift idea, the range is priced from £70 to £290 and includes:
- Necklace – featuring a Smallprint fingerprint charm on a delicate freshwater pearl and Swarovski Crystal multi-drop necklace
- Pendants – a Smallprint fingerprint charm suspended on a multi-drop pendant of either Rose Quartz and Amethyst or Garnet and Moonstone
- Keyring – featuring a Smallprint fingerprint font on Swarovski Crystal and freshwater pearl key ring
- Fine silver t-bar cufflinks
- Fine silver Christmas tree decoration suspended from a red, silk ribbon
Shoppers can choose their preferred design from the selection on display in-store at Harrods and be safe in the knowledge that their own exclusive, one-off piece will be personally hand-finished and perfected by Jane Davis herself, ensuring that both the quality and artistic vision are carried right through to completion.
Commenting on the new range, Smallprint founder, Maija Pykett says: “We’re honoured to be working with Jane and delighted that we’re able to make the range available through Harrods. Smallprint prides itself on exceptional, high-end pieces of silver jewellery and keepsakes and Jane’s designs, inspired by our fingerprint concept, are both contemporary and highly desirable. We look forward to creating memories for people who’ll be enchanted by the individuality of each piece.”
Smallprint uses precious metal clay to create original pieces of silver jewellery – once the clay has been rolled out and shaped, the child’s finger is gently pressed in place to create the print. Each piece is then individually sanded, engraved and fired, before being finished with solid silver settings, to create the most imaginative keepsake gift on the market.
Smallprint also recently announced a new line in Christmas gifts – created specifically for the festive period, the new range consists of four different Christmas tree decorations, each one using a child’s actual fingerprint as the main focal point in Smallprint’s distinctive, signature style. The decorations can be in the shape of an angel, festive bell, jolly snowman or Christmas tree and will be available through Smallprint’s UK-wide franchise network from 1 October 2007, costing £50 each.
