Muks party in style Jaime Cooke, the glamorous Managing Director of luxury footwear and accessories brand, Muks, hosted a fashion soirée on Saturday the 26th of April at the Muks studio, and the finest of London’s fashion scene turned out for cocktails, dancing, and a celebration of Muks success.

Attendees included Michael Herz, Head of Design Womenswear at Aquascutum, Karen Brost, Fashion Designer to Dita Von Teese, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Sharon Stone; Nikki Galloway, Owner of Mayfair’s Nude Jewellery; and Rebekah Roy, Fashion Stylist to The Feeling, Billy Idol, and Sophie Ellis Bexter.

The London-based footwear and accessories brand was introduced to the UK in 2004 by Canadian-born, Jaime and has expanded each year to offer new collections to its global customer base. Autumn-Winter 2008/09 sees the introduction of three distinct labels: Gold Label (super luxe), Black Label (original styles made famous the world over by Kate Moss), and Green Label (fur-free).

Muks prides itself on using biodegradable materials and its links with Canadian Aboriginal culture. Muks works closely with its Aboriginally-owned manufacturer in Canada and all hand-beading is done on a fair trade basis. Muks also donates a percentage of its profits to CAHRD, Canadian Aboriginal Human Resource Development, a non-profit organisation that aims to help Canadian Natives retain their culture while also aiding integration into mainstream life.
