Mad hatter prepares for Royal Ascot

With Royal Ascot just around the corner, Sloane Square’s mad hatter, Louis Mariette is day and night surrounded by feathers, pearls, crystals, flowers and ribbons preparing for his most important showcase of the season, Royal Ascot. Each year, Louis is inundated with requests for his stunning, surreal and wholly original take on millinery.

Last Royal Ascot Louis’ Miss Tick Tock caused quite a stir, featuring a large clock face with the numbers swapped around, perched on top a pristine white top hat. In a little over a month, we’ll see what other unique creations Louis has managed to make the talk of the races.

Louis holds a true passion for colour and sparkle, and has the innate ability to pick up on a woman’s aura, enabling him to instantly dream up the perfect head piece, be it flamboyant, chic, or demure.
