It may be chilly, wet and grey outside, but this winter at Rok Chix it's all about dazzling colour and opulence. The new winter jewellery designs are set to complement one of the season's key trends for gorgeous brocades, vibrant embroidery and deep, luscious velvets – whether you call it baroque, folk or luxury boho, the look's sumptuous colours and fabrics are set to light up the winter gloom.

Add some Rok Chix sparklers to the mix, and suddenly winter doesn't seem so cold and gloomy after all.

This winter's Rok Chix collection features vibrant gemstones, including amethyst, rose quartz, amazonite and smoky quartz as well as deep midnight blue freshwater pearls. And to heighten the luxurious look they've also used pure, hand-dyed silk in a range of colour/gemstone combinations, including purple/amethyst, pink/rose quartz and aqua blue/amazonite.

The winter collection features richly-coloured necklaces and bracelets with silk thread woven into silver chains, each teamed with a gemstone and chunky handmade silver poppy charm. There are also silver poppy earrings to match, with either amethyst, rose quartz or amazonite gems, as well as a silver ring that features a handmade poppy set on a plain, heavy, wide silver band.

Equally splendid is the elegant, handmade silver orchid pendant on a string of luminous, rich midnight blue freshwater pearls, and – continuing with the flower theme – the simple posy of handmade silver blossoms featuring twinkling amethyst and amazonite gems, hanging from an unfussy, handbeaten silver torque-style necklace.

Also adding a touch of warmth and colour to the winter season are enamelled silver bluebird necklace and earrings, featuring handmade silver bird charms that are part-enamelled blue-green and pink, plus delicious, faceted blue-green fluorite and purple amethyst gems. Alternatively, the demi-chandelier earrings, dripping with faceted amethyst and amazonite gems, can light up the darkest, winter day (or night).

The new Rok Chix winter collection also features a couple of exquisite silver necklaces in cool, icy colours and textures to match the season. There's the handmade silver snowflake pendant, with accents of white enamel, hung from a row of brilliant, uncut, clear quartz crystals, as well as the handmade winter star pendant (also with white enamel accent) set among creamy freshwater pearls.

Meanwhile, the latest addition to the collection of gorgeous, unpretentious gemstone rings features a stunning, faceted chocolate-brown smoky quartz stone set on a simple silver band. It's what Christmas present lists were made for.

Each Rok Chix piece is a limited edition and made by hand in the UK using sterling silver and semi-precious gemstones and freshwater pearls. The company uses only the best materials, and because many of the unusually-cut stones used are unique, it means many of the pieces are unique too.
