Michael Barnes Makes A Splash At Hairdressing Awards

The annual Most Wanted Awards, run by hairdressing bible Creative HEAD, has become one of the industry events of the year, with the Most Wanted gongs a much lusted-after prize.

One of the most hotly contested categories is Most Wanted Photographic Collection; the editorial team at Creative HEAD chooses their favourite 10 collections as published in the mag over the course of a year, and readers can then vote for their winner.

With so many beautiful collections featured, Michael Barnes is honoured to have made the final 10! His stunning underwater collection features Lily Cole, and was shot by renowned photographer Candice. The underwater shoot, sponsored by Goldwell and with hair extensions supplied by Cinderella Hair, is part of a series under the Fresh2o banner to raise awareness and funds for the WaterAid charity.

“It’s brilliant to be on the shortlist, and I’m particularly pleased because it all helps to raise the profile of WaterAid and their mission to provide clean water all over the world” says Michael. “I love the hair in these pictures and learnt lots about how the hair would work underwater from our previous shoot with Keira Knightley.”
