Hampshire Salon Scoops 2 Award Nominations

Rae Palmer is proud to announce that her South Coast salon has been shortlisted for HAIR Magazine’s prestigious consumer Awards, while Rae herself is a finalist in the British Hairdressing Business Awards’ Manager of the Year category - both for the second year running.

Rae Palmer Hairdressing has been named as one of the UK’s top 5 salons, and will compete in the Best Local Salon category at the HAIR awards on September 11.

IPC’s HAIR Magazine is the UK’s biggest selling consumer hair title, ABC audited at 108,169 readers, and Rae’s style advice and tips can often be found throughout the mag. The accolades will come as no surprise to Rae’s clients, who know her for her inspirational style, fabulous colour work and sunny disposition.

The stunning £250,000 salon is every inch the premier salon for Hampshire, with the luxurious salon environment complemented by a friendly and professional service.

In addition to Rae’s creative skills (she ranks in the UK’s Top 1% of L’Oreal Colour Specialists), she follows up last year’s business nomination and Dream Factory win (landing £10k to invest in her innovative Colour Optics idea), a panel of industry experts and journalists from the Times, The Telegraph and City AM awarded Rae with her nomination in the 2007 British Hairdressing Business Awards. Rae is one of 6 finalists in what is one of the most highly regarded categories.

Presented by Hairdressers Journal International, the Awards are now in their ninth year and are designed to specifically reward excellence and exceptional business practice. “Year-on-year, the standard of entries has grown and developed,” comments Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of HJi, Jayne Lewis-Orr. “Entries have been alive with innovation, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial expertise showing amazing skills across the breadth of business management, and this year was no exception.
