Rae Palmer joins Schwarzkopf as top ambassador

Leading UK salon owner Rae Palmer has joined premier product company Schwarzkopf as one of their top colour and product ambassadors. Rae’s South Coast salon has been shortlisted for numerous top awards over the last few years, and Rae herself is acknowledged as an industry pioneer, especially for all things colour.

“I’m really happy to be joining Schwarzkopf as their colour palette is second to none,” says Rae. “The new Blondeme range allows colourists to lift hair by an unprecedented number of shades, and the possibilities for creating new colours is incredibly exciting for someone as passionate about colour as myself.”

Rae has also joined the prestigious Institute of Trichologists, and will soon be adding specialist services to her salon with a private clinic. “While traditionally doctors have specialised in this area, it makes sense to me as a hairdresser to make it available at the salon,” says Rae. “Women often suffer from conditions ranging from thinning hair or hair loss to stressed scalps and everything in between – it’s perfectly normal and as a hairdresser I’d like to offer treatment and advice in a more luxurious, pampering environment than a health surgery.”

Rae’s first collection for Schwarzkopf is available now; titled ‘Iconic’, it features a range of glossy shades and beautiful shapes, “This Autumn/Winter, strong glamorous Hollywood-style looks will be highly sought after!” says Rae. “Shine is key for any glamorous hair look so finish your colour with a gloss. Purple reigns supreme, but you don’t have to go too dramatic - for a sleek brunette hue, gloss over hair with rich velvety burgundies or clarets.

“Satisfy your inner Madonna or Marilyn with glam blondes -strike a pose and try the really on-trend soft lavender slices or pretty lilac blondes. Louise Brooks-style bobs with strong geometric fringes are cute, beautiful and easy to manage, and with waves so popular this season it’s a versatile look that can be restyled easily. Use tongs or rollers, and use irons to go big and beautiful with cascading curls. Finish the new season’s look with the oh so important darker, shaped eyebrows, black eyeliner, lashes of mascara and the essential pouty gorgeous Hollywood ruby lips.”
