FordhamWhite at Fashion Week

FordhamWhite at Fashion Week FordhamWhite session stylists Philippe Tholimet and Gerard Hawe have again been part of the team responsible for the hair looks at Fashion Weeks in London, Paris and Milan. The duo, both Art Directors at FordhamWhite in Soho, have worked on shows including Paul Smith and Top Shop in London, D&G and Pucci in Milan and Alexander McQueen, Issey Miyake and Stella McCartney in Paris.

”The main trends coming through in the shows were a lot of volume and dry textures. The hair looks full and luxurious but not shiny. The feeling is more raw and edgier then previous seasons.

“The hair is being worked in very creative ways to achieve this, deconstructed crimpling, back brush/flat ironing and plaiting techniques to name but a few. The products being used are mainly volume sprays and mousses, texture sprays and light sprays to hold heat-created styles with hold and texture. Think of strong, confident women not overly fussed with primping and preening, but who know they look fierce!” commented Gerard.

Philippe continues, “The key elements of the Dolce and Gabbana show included very soft and romantic, flying away hair rolled into a little chignon at the back. Whilst at D&G the look was hippy chic, Glastonbury chic inspiration. Hair is long with extensions and messy”.

The FordhamWhite salon is located at 47 Greek St, Soho, London W1D 4EE, For more information and appointments, visit Fordhamwhite.com.
