Karine Jackson wins London Hairdresser of the Year

Leading London salon owner Karine Jackson has been named winner of the hotly contested London category of the British Hairdressing Awards at a glittering ceremony, presented by Graham Norton. Karine is a renowned colourist and holds the prestigious L’Oreal Colour Specialist Degree, putting her in the top 1% of L’Oreal colourists in the UK.

However, this year she also introduced a range of organic colour as an alternative to the usual big-brand ranges at her stunning Covent Garden salon, saying “The natural and organic movement, fuelled by health concerns in the UK, is gaining increased momentum in the field of beauty and hair care and we should be looking at the greener alternatives to chemical ranges.”

The London category of the awards is widely acknowledged as the toughest to finalise in, thanks to the proliferation of first class salons in the region. Karine, who set up her own salon, Karine Jackson Hair & Beauty, 2 doors away from the Ivy on Litchfield Street in 2003, is thrilled to have been crowned London Hairdresser of the Year, saying:
