Rae Palmer Hairdressing – The colour powerhouse

Colour powerhouse Rae Palmer Hairdressing is today celebrating the news that they have reached the Western Regional Finals of the L’Oreal Colour Trophy, the UK’s leading catwalk hair competition.

Southsea salon owner Rae Palmer is already an industry leader in colour; both Rae and Technical Manager Kirsty Paffett hold a prestigious Colour Specialist Degree, putting them into the top 1% of colourists in the UK; and Rae is responsible for industry firsts in the form of her Color Bar, and her award-winning Color Optic Shade Shots.

Now Rae’s protégé, 21 year-old Louise Skillen who was named Regional Winner last year, is once again shortlisted for the Western Region’s Young Colourist Award. Held in Bristol on the 15th April, Lou's gorgeous flame haired image will be judged against 4 others with the winner heading to London for the final on June 2.

Rae herself is also through in the regional stylist category with her beautiful smooth bob image.

It's another strong year for Southsea as incredibly a second salon, Ego, has also made the final four in the Western category.

Rae has always had colour at the top of her agenda and since the salon’s January 2006 re-launch (following a £250,000 refit, including the bespoke Color Bar designed by Rae) colour services have increased by 12%. Clients are thrilled with the standard of creative colour services, and Rae has joined Schwarzkopf as an Ambassador.
