Michael Barnes up for Avant-Garde Hairdresser of the Year

Celeb hairdresser Michael Barnes, who has tended the long locks of Keira Knightley and Lily Cole among others, is a finalist for the Avant-Garde Hairdresser of the Year category in the British Hairdressing Awards. Michael is a guru when it comes to long hair and hair-ups - Tatler magazine named him in their recent top London blow dries for long hair, and brides flock from far around for their dream wedding up-do’s.

Renowned for his incredible talent for spectacular avant-garde hair, commercial session looks and everyday in-salon style, Michael is the go-to guy for everything from gravity defying styles to a beautiful, simple blow dry.

Michael has also qualified in the avant-garde category of the overseas AIPP Trophy for 2008, where he goes up against stylists from all over the world.

The British Hairdressing Awards are announced at a glittering ceremony on November 24.
