A-list hair care products at credit crunch prices

A-list hairdresser Tara Smith has scooped two awards for her new natural and organic hair care products. The C Curl range won the Kiss & Make Up award for Best Shampoo and Conditioner 2008, while the whole range was named Highly Commended: Best Organic Launch at the Pure Beauty Awards, as voted by the general public.

Tara has been busy doing the hair for Marisa Tomei, current Oscar nominee for Best Supporting Actress for award-winning film ‘The Wrestler’, for her recent film promotions. Says Tara, “I used my Tara Smith Base Coat Serum and Top Coat Glosser for the premieres as Marisa’s hair has been put through quite a bit on different projects. She’s a huge fan of these products as they’re really moisturizing.”

Tara is also responsible for Marisa’s new ‘clip on fringe’ that she’s been wearing - a great trick to create a completely different look instantly. To achieve maximum red-carpet shine, Tara recommends “spraying Top Coat Glosser on section by section and wafting the hairdryer over it for good distribution.”

Tara Smith Base Coat Serum has also been raking in the plaudits, receiving 5 stars and overall favourite in Your Hair’s shine serum reader test. It received another 5 stars and named favourite by the panel at Hair magazine, and recommended by Heat magazine in their Top Ten Beauty Buys.
