Organic hair care range wins top award

A-list hairdresser Tara Smith’s Base Coat Serum has been named Winner of the Natural Health & Beauty Awards’ Styling Product category.

She adds this accolade to other nods for her new natural and organic hair care products: the C Curl range won the Kiss & Make Up award for Best Shampoo and Conditioner 2008, while the whole range was named Highly Commended: Best Organic Launch at the Pure Beauty Awards. The products are also shortlisted for the Company Magazine Hair awards.

Tara, whose clients include Anna Friel, Natalie Imbruglia, Demi Moore, Marisa Tomei and Rosario Dawson launches the range through ASDA in August 2009. The range is already a bestseller in Tesco and on cultbeauty.co.uk, where she is the only hair range to be stocked in full.

Tara Smith Base Coat Serum has also been raking in the plaudits, receiving 5 stars and overall favourite in Your Hair’s shine serum reader test, and being named in their Hottest Hair Buys 2009. It received another 5 stars and was named favourite by the panel at Hair magazine, and recommended by Heat magazine in their Top Ten Beauty Buys.
