The season’s most stylish cocktail This Christmas, indulge yourself with the most stylish cocktail of the festive season – the Disaronno Amaretto Style Star Cocktail, created exclusively by top international cocktail innovator and mixologist, Douglas Ankrah - a man well versed in the art of delicious drinks.

The Disaronno Amaretto Style Star has been created to celebrate the forthcoming Disaronno Amaretto Style Panel, an elite team of some of the UK’s most respected fashion and style movers and shakers, who have come together to provide their unique insights into what’s going to be hot, and what’s not, in 2008.

Now you can enjoy cocktails like the stars – but the appeal of the Disaronno Amaretto Style Star is its simplicity. All the ingredients can be sourced easily and you don’t have to be the world’s best mixologist to perfect how to make it. The cloudy apple and pomegranate juices contain anti oxidants, and allow the flavour and aromas of Disaronno to come alive.

Disaronno Amaretto is a classic Italian liqueur, flavoured with herbs and fruits soaked in apricot kernel oil – providing the perfect, authentic taste of Christmas for the festive season. The new Disaronno Amaretto Style Star has a delicious and distinctive taste, and is suitable for all sorts of occasions, from partying with pals to enjoying an indulgent night at home with a partner.

The recipe:

- 2 shots Disaronno Amaretto
- A gentle squeeze of fresh lime juice
- Dash of cinnamon syrup or golden syrup
- 3 shots of cloudy apple juice
- 2 shots of pomegranate juice or purée
- High-ball glass

The method:

Fill a cocktail shaker with 6-8 very hard iced cubes, pour in Disaronno Amaretto, add all the ingredients and shake very well for 30 seconds. Finally, pour the finished cocktail into a high-ball filled with crushed or cubed ice.

Garnish: 3-4 very thin slices of fan of red or green apple, a sprig of fresh mint and a dusting of cinnamon.
