Alpine Homes and Savills launch Le Centaure Residences & Spa

25th September 2007 Print
This month Alpine Homes and Savills launch Le Centaure Residences & Spa, a 52 unit leaseback development in Belle Plagne, which at 2050m is France’s 3rd highest ski resort. Belle Plagne is located in Paradiski, the new skiers paradise created in 2003 by linking the two famous high altitude ski resorts of Les Arcs and La Plagne by the Vanoise Express high-speed cable car.

Jeremy Rollason, Savills International, comments: “There is only one winter a year and it is never long enough for ski-enthusiasts. Last season’s freak high temperatures have resulted in an increasing demand for high altitude properties. Belle Plagne is a dream resort for skiers - not only does it have virtually guaranteed season long snow, it has access to 3 peaks of over 3000m. Being one of the largest skiing areas in the world, linking 3 resorts and 20 villages, it offers skiing for all standards - from easy blues to the longest off-piste run in Europe.”

Larry Levene of Alpine Homes says: “There are three key questions that we get asked by potential purchasers. These are affordability, management/rental and snow levels/altitude. With prices starting at under £100,000, the leaseback formula and an altitude of over 2000m, Le Centaure answers all three.”

Studios to 3 bedroom apartments from £99,000

This development offers 52 fully-furnished ski-in / ski-out apartments all of which are sold with the benefit of a 9-year lease from Eurogroup with a guaranteed rental return of 3.25%.

The Le Centaure apartments were originally built in the 90s, however they have been restructured and refurbished to high standards. The interiors are decorated in typical Savoyard style with fully-equipped kitchens and bathrooms and solid wood furniture. Each apartment comes with its own ski locker, a balcony or terrace offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains and inclusive underground car park. There is a spacious reception area, exclusive on-site ski and equipment hire facility and access to the brand new fitness centre, with heated indoor swimming pool and sauna.

Belle Plagne is located in the Savoie in the state-of-the-art ski domain of La Plagne. The resort is a great choice for year-round entertainment with exceptional winter activities including terrain for every skier, Olympic bobsleigh run, ice-skating, snow parks, cross-country skiing and après-ski. In summer there is a range of activities available from hiking, cycling and tours of the ice-cave on the Bellecôte Glacier to horse-back riding, beach volleyball and paintball. Around one and half hours from Chambery airport, two hours from Geneva airport and twenty-five minutes from Aime la Plagne, the apartments are easily accessible from London and UK destinations.
