Master a move to Winkleigh Cross

14th April 2007 Print
Climbing up the property ladder can be daunting, with each rung more steep than the last.
But homebuyers in the sought-after Devon village of Winkleigh need have no fear of a new property’s lofty heights thanks to a team of experts brought in by developer Redrow Homes.

Customers are guided through every step of the way, even receiving help on how to sell their existing home and how to finance the new purchase.

Mastermove, an innovative service which has helped thousands of people to move home, is available to customers at Redrow’s Winkleigh Cross venture, in Winkleigh.

Representatives of reputable local estate agent Haydons will be at the development on Saturday, 21st April, between 12 noon and 4pm, to help customers purchase the home of their dreams.

Katrina Shore, Redrow’s area sales manager, says: “We know from our customers how overwhelming it can be to sell one property and buy another. So we make it as easy as possible for them to buy a home from us whilst they market their own.

“First we invite a carefully selected agent to talk to our customers and advise them about the best route to selling their home. We then offer a free valuation and, once appointed, a member of our Redrow team will chase up the agent on a weekly basis. We even pay the agent’s fees which is a huge saving to our customer.

“Then, when it comes to buying their new home, we know that mortgages too can be complex without the help of an independent financial adviser. So we ensure that free impartial advice is available.”

“Mastermove really does remove all the obstacles to enable our customers to move on.”

Homes currently available at Winkleigh Cross include three and four-bedroom terraced, semi and detached houses, including several that feature a ‘ready made loft conversion’ to offer a whole extra floor of valuable living accommodation. The four-bedroom, semi-detached Ribble, for example, has a sumptuous master bedroom with en-suite shower room in its usually redundant roof space.

Current prices at Winkleigh Cross range from £194,995 to £313,995.

Winkleigh Cross will eventually feature 51 two, three and four-bedroom homes in a pretty village setting. The towns of Crediton, Torrington and Okehampton are all within 15 miles, Dartmoor National Park is less than 15 miles away and the coast can be reached in just over an hour.

The village benefits from easy road links to the A386 and the A377, leading to Exeter, Barnstaple and the M5 to Weston-Super-Mare and beyond. Okehampton Railway station runs regular trains to Exeter and links to the main city lines.
