Superior designed interiors appeal to high end market place

RDD of London, award winning, interior design architects, have created the interiors and to great effect. The show home upon release was sold within just two weeks and the company has now been asked to produce two further show homes to cope with the flood of interest at Dart Marina.
“Displaying a property at its very best is important in this day and age”, says Jon O’Dwyer, Director at RDD “buyers are more discerning and demand more. They want to see a finished product, not just an empty shell, and by giving investors an opportunity to appreciate the very finest layouts, colours and textures, clever use of space planning plus everything from crockery to bed linen, we are enabling our client to achieve good prices, and their buyers to secure a very good investment”.
RDD is an international design company and one of the UK’s leading Hospitality and Leisure Design practises providing architectural interior solutions for both new build and refurbishment projects. RDD has an enviable client list and has undertaken work for international hotel groups such as Rocco Forte Hotels, Hilton, Marriott, Le Meridien, Intercontinental, Renaissance plus De Vere, Thistle, Guoman and Whitbread. They have also carried out major projects for Haggen Dazs, Spaghetti House and Café Med bar and grill so when they were approached by Dartmouth Land Company via Kay Elliott Architects, they were able to hone their hotel and leisure industry skills to create unique show homes.
Dart Marina has been skilfully created from a former shipyard site by Kay Elliott Architects of Torquay who have designed a mixed use scheme comprising 27 apartments and nine houses with a link to the existing extensively re furbished hotel, new bistro with river terrace, health and beauty suite, swimming pool, gymnasium and new facilities for the marina’s boat owners including 110 berths. RDD were also involved with the refurbished hotel, new bistro and health and beauty suite as well as the show homes.
Concluded Jon of RDD, “We are delighted with the high level of sales success being achieved at Dart Marina. As a company specialising in the hotel and leisure industry this was our first foray into the private housing sector. It is proving exceedingly satisfying to know that clever use of lighting, space planning, and a correlation of colours and textures used to great effect in international hotels, can be mirrored in brand new private homes to provide owners with the very best in interior design living”.
Homes at Dart Marina have a high specification with kitchens provided with Poggenpohl units and Smeg integrated appliances. Floor finishes included solid oak tongue and groove boards with bedrooms having 100% wool level loop pile carpets. Bathrooms boast Kaldewei baths, Hansgrohe brassware and showers trays and wash hand basins from the Duravit range.
Prices currently start from £875,000 for a two bedroom apartment overlooking the river to £1.1million for a three bedroom apartment with terrace and double aspect views of the river. For further information, visit knightfrank.com.
