Housebuilder moves to Exeter Business Park

The company has moved from Pynes Hill to the newly built 9,000 sq ft, two-storey Redrow House, from where it will continue to grow its operation in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
Redrow has purchased the freehold of the new building from Exeter Business Park’s developers, Rok Development - which in turn appointed its sister company Rok Building as the main contractor - and joins some prestigious neighbours including the Met Office, EDF Energy and Ashfords.
Mark Harding, Redrow’s land director, comments: “Exeter Business Park is a great location for us, thanks to its proximity to junction 29 of the M5, where the motorway meets the main A30. The new offices have been designed for our needs and offer open plan, climate controlled accommodation.”
The contemporary architecture of the new offices was the responsibility of Exeter based Lacey, Hickie and Caley Limited.
David Harbottle from Rok Development, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Redrow to Exeter Business Park, where we are bringing forward more than 100,000 sq feet of new office space in eight separate buildings. We expect to be on site with two more units this summer and are already seeing strong demand for these quality premises with excellent transport links.”
Redrow’s Exeter-based operation is part of the larger South West regional company, which currently covers an area from Gloucester in the north to Launceston in the south.
Developments in Devon and Cornwall, managed from Exeter, include the major regeneration of the former MoD South Yard storage enclave at Devonport, in association with English Partnerships. The company is also building houses and apartments at Tavistock, Winkleigh, Barnstaple and Plympton in Devon, with a 5.3-acre site recently acquired for 116 units in Newton Abbott. Redrow is also part of the consortium to develop the first settlement at Cranbrook in East Devon and the urban extension of Taunton at Monkton Heathfield.
Redrow plc builds circa 5,000 new homes per annum across England, Scotland and Wales, including affordable first time buyer properties from its innovative Debut range, traditional family housing, contemporary city centre apartments and refurbishment and conversion of Grade II listed buildings such as those found at Knightstone Island in Weston-super-mare.
