Redrow celebrates move into its new home

Redrow marked the move into its new home with a launch party for staff from across the region and representatives from various local companies.
Guests were given a tour of the modern, stylish offices and enjoyed a buffet and light refreshments and the striking Redrow hot air balloon was on site.
Redrow’s Western regional chairman Colin Lewis cut the tape to officially open Redrow House, accompanied by the region’s new managing director, Peter Carpinelli.
Mark Harding, Redrow’s land director, based in Exeter, says: “It was very well-attended by suppliers, sub-contractors and local consultancies, together with Redrow staff from across the south west operation.
“It was a good opportunity for the staff to talk to their colleagues from other developments and offices and to reinforce Redrow’s position in the West Country.”
Redrow joins some prestigious neighbours at Exeter Business Park, including the Met Office, EDF Energy and Ashfords. The freehold of the new building was purchased from the park’s developers, Rok Development - which in turn appointed its sister company Rok Building as the main contractor.
The contemporary architecture of the new offices was the responsibility of Exeter based Lacey, Hickie and Caley Limited.
Redrow’s Exeter-based operation is part of the larger South West regional company, which currently covers an area from Gloucester in the north to Launceston in the south west, and also has offices in Bristol. Nationally, Redrow builds almost 5,000 new homes annually across England, Scotland and Wales.
Developments in Devon and Cornwall, managed from Exeter, include the major regeneration of the former MoD South Yard storage enclave at Devonport, in association with English Partnerships. The company is also building houses and apartments at Tavistock, Winkleigh, Barnstaple and Plympton in Devon, with a 5.3-acre site recently acquired for 116 units in Newton Abbott.
Redrow is also part of the consortium to develop the first settlement at Cranbrook in East Devon and the urban extension of Taunton at Monkton Heathfield.
