An engineer, who invested in a buy-to-let property at Redrow’s idyllic Treverbyn development near Plymouth, was delighted to find tenants in just two weeks. Heating engineer Brendan Wavish, 34, bought a two-bedroom apartment at the new venture in Plympton after spotting its rental potential.

The dad-of-one said: “I thought it was a good investment. I have a small number of other properties and I thought this was a great opportunity to add to my portfolio.

“It has proved to be a very worthwhile investment and I found a couple to move in after only two weeks.
