Devon homebuyers invited to 'ask the experts'

Devon homebuyers invited to 'ask the experts' Homebuyers can conquer the complexities of house buying with free independent advice from a team of property professionals at two special events.

Redrow’s Tiddy Brook Meadows developments, in Tavistock, will host an ‘ask the experts’ event this Saturday (Jan 12), followed next Saturday (Jan 19) by a second helping of professional advice at the housebuilder’s Treverbyn development in Plympton.

On each occasion a team of property buying experts, including local reputable estate agents and independent financial advisors will be on hand to offer specialist advice to prospective house buyers.

Perhaps one of the most significant decisions anyone will ever make, buying a house has the potential to be confusing and stressful for some.

“Not just the place where you live but also almost certainly your single largest financial investment, it's a process that’s worth getting right,” says Hannah Newnes, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West).

She explains: “Whether you're a first time buyer just getting onto the property ladder, or an experienced home owner, every prospective house purchaser needs to know the information vital for finding and buying their perfect property.

“Even those who’ve gone through the experience before will appreciate a ‘refresher’, especially with recent changes to the process such as the introduction of the Home Information Pack.

“Getting the right advice can be time consuming and sometimes costly so we’re going out of our way with these events to make good quality, impartial advice freely available to those hoping to move on.”

And hopefully their no-nonsense approach will help guide a path to one of the brand new homes currently available at either Tiddy Brook Meadows or Treverbyn.

Properties at Tiddy Brook Meadows, located on the edge of Tavistock, are currently priced from £161,950 for a two-bed apartment, while three-bedroom homes come with a £205,000 start price. A three-storey, four-bedroom Tamar is priced from £335,000.

Treverbyn, in Plympton – just five miles from Plymouth - offers two-bedroom apartments priced from £173,995, each with an open-plan living/dining room and kitchen. Many also have en-suite to master bedroom and some have walk-out balconies.

Both developments feature brand new, easy to maintain and secure properties that would suit a range of owner occupiers, including first time buyers, empty nesters and the new breed of ‘lock up and leave’ owners who like to spend part of the year abroad, as well as investors.

The ‘ask the experts’ event at Tiddy Brook Meadows will take place on January 12, from 12pm to 4pm.

The expert’s will then be on hand at Treverbyn on Saturday, January 19 from 12pm to 4pm.
