New homes available in sought-after Devon location

New homes on the edge of the bustling town of Newton Abbot and close to the stretch of coast line known as the “English Riviera” proved popular with homebuyers at a successful launch event.

Scores of eager homebuyers turned out to take a first glimpse of plans for Redrow’s new much-anticipated Orleigh Cross development at last week’s open day.

Hannah Newnes, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: “The launch was a huge success. We had a good turnout, lost of people showed up to view the development. We’re very confident this will lead to a very popular development.

“These new homes are in a fabulous location, surrounded by the beautiful Devon countryside, with great commuter links to Exeter and the surrounding towns.

“The development is approximately 15 minutes by car from the stunning stretch of coastline known as the English Riviera and is perfect for people who want to escape hectic city life or indulge in a few watersports.

“We have a wide choice of homes available to suit many types of buyer, including families, young professionals, holiday home-owners, downsizers and early or active retired.”

Redrow is now inviting other interested homebuyers to the development where they can view plans, computer-generated images in the brand new marketing suite and speak to experienced sales consultants about making a move to a dream new home.

Also available are examples of kitchen, bathroom and other choices from the ‘Indulge with Redrow’ selection, which allows customers to personalise their new home to suit their own individual tastes and lifestyle.

Less than a mile from the town centre, Orleigh Cross will provide a total of 116 new homes for people on all stages of the property ladder including one, two, three and four-bedroom houses and apartments.

Hannah added: “Buying a new property can be daunting, whether it’s your first home or not. Our new marketing suite helps make everything that little bit easier – buyers can see exactly what the finished development will look like, pick up individual home layouts, read literature about mortgages and other financial advice and speak with fully trained Redrow staff.”

The development has easy access to the M5 and is situated approximately a mile from Newton Abbot train station, which has regular direct services to Exeter and Torquay.

Newton Abbot is a lively town, straddling the River Teign, in the district of Teignbridge, Devon, and is close to Dartmoor National Park and the attractive beaches at Dawlish, Teignmouth and Torquay. The town has excellent primary and secondary schools, a leisure centre, museums, three country parks and a new hospital under construction.

Initial prices at Orleigh Cross start from £164,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and £204,000 for a three-bedroom home.

To provide added comfort and reassurance to prospective homebuyers, award winning Redrow Homes has introduced a ‘house price protection’ promise – helping to protect the value of its customers’ new homes for up to three years*.

It is one of the measures under the umbrella of ‘re:assure from Redrow’, which are all designed to give home buyers confidence and to help get them moving in the current housing market.

As well as helping to protect the value of their new home, Redrow’s ‘re:assure’ package includes measures to help people sell their current property at the best possible price, or could include help with the monthly mortgage repayments for the first year or two.
